You know how now some food that was previously available in restaurants and eateries are reaching out to the masses by making it available in hawker centers and coffee shops. A couple i could think of are like Botak Jones, Astons.
Dinner was at Beauty World food center one Saturday evening, a stall that claims to serve authentic Italian food at a fraction of what restaurants usually charges and they use Barilla pasta for this dishes.
We ordered a pasta each and a small pizza to share.
Spaghetti Carbonara, Tuna Spaghetti with Tomato sauce & Ham and Mushroom Pizza. Since the stall claims not to serve pork, all the ham and bacon bits were chicken.
Honestly, i have never found a food stall that serves good pasta at pocket friendly prices. The sauces were never up to mark. I love my carbonara thick and creamy. I love my tomato sauce to be slightly sweet and tangy. But the two pasta that we ordered were just lacking in taste. I think they tried to make it up by serving more pasta! our plates were brimming with noodles.
Dinner was not all a disaster luckily for the pizza! The crust of the pizza was nice and thin. The crust has a faint char taste amidst the dough taste, with sufficient cheese and topping to match.
Scooted off to town to catch a movie.
